Why is simple important?

There are hundreds of marketing venues where you can advertise your real estate listings. It is difficult to determine which of these is best for a given property. DotHome simplifies this process by not only broadcasting your listings newspapers, internet sites, and other venues, but it also determines the results of your advertising by presenting a score called Listing AdPower™.

How does it work?

You place you listings into DotHome. DotHome will automatically syndicate your listings and recommend in comprehensive reports how to maximize your advertising spending. You can set marketing goals for each of your listings to accommodate any budget, whether you are an individual agent or brokerage.

What destinations does DotHome support?

DotHome is always adding venues. If we do not have a venue, simply email us at AdPower@dothome.info, and we’ll immediately add support for that venue.

What is Listing AdPower™?

Simply put, Listing AdPower™ is the relationship between a marketing venues and the number of showing that it generates. To determine this value, we created a non-linear statistical formula (which is patent pending). Once we determine Listing AdPower™, it is possible to compare your listings with other similar listings in our system. This gives you the idea of your effectiveness and a measure of your competition. It can also be used to calculate marketing return on investment (ROI).

Why is syndication important now?

With the increased adoption of the internet and the advanced property viewing features available online (such as high quality photos, interactive floorplans, and neighborhood and amenity information) identification of potential homes to purchase is transitioning from real estate agents to consumers (buyer agents are still very active in the showing and negotiation processes). As a result, increased exposure to consumers results in more showings and showings result in sales.

How do I know if my advertising is successful?

Successful advertising results in showings. With our patent pending DotHome analysis, we can determine which of your marketing venues result in a positive return on investment. Successful advertising results in showings, costs less than the value of the showings*, and reaches a maximum number of consumers (this is called reach and frequency in classic marketing terms). Successful advertising also depends on the quality of your marketing content.

How do I determine the quality of my marketing content?

Marketing content consists on many different facets including the description of the property, number and quality of the photos*, price, and other features available about the property. These other features include interactive floorplans and amenity information to name a few. The goal of high quality marketing is to present the property in the best possibly light compared to other properties of that type available. With online and also in traditional print advertising, you only have seconds to make an impression that results in a showing.

How does DotHome help improve my content?

DotHome can critique your marketing based on your results. It allows you to experiment with the content. You can create marketing scenarios where you place one photo for a certain advertisement and then automatically switch a week later. Just as car dealers move around their cars to generate additional interest and make their lot look fresh, it is important to mix-up your marketing to ensure it receives maximum attention. DotHome will also tell you where you should consider placing your advertisement, for example, to upgrade from a standard advertisement to a featured advertisement. With DotHome you are looking at the actual results of your advertising dollars, and no longer have to guess.

Do you keep my Listing AdPower™ score private?

We never share the names of any brokerage or agent. We only display your Listing AdPower™ score against other aggregated scores for similar listings in similar geographies.
